TADOBA NATIONAL PARK - CHANDRAPUR


India is also know from time immemorial for its richness of wild life animals like Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Wild boars, Deers, bears, cheetaah, neils, foxes, leopard cats, etc,.  

When you see a Tiger in a cage in zoo still you freeze yourself in front of the cage and magically your eyes refuses to blink… You keep staring at this nature’s most adorable living myth..!!! 

Just imagine, if you get to know this CROWN KING of the ENTIRE JUNGLE “IN THE JUNGLE “itself..!!!! What would be your reaction..??? 

You will not think for any second thought and grab this opportunity with both the hands..!!!
There will be no cage to limit his moves, natural moments and you also get the opportunity to witness how he grabs his food – deers or other such animals..!!!!!!!

The PLACE is situated in the heart of Maharashtra, magnificent land of district Chandrapur which is full of natural jungles, ample of resources to grow wild life easily..!!!

Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve also known as TATR, is very famous for Tiger’s own pride reserved by government of India especially for tigers and its breeding. It is declared as Tiger sanctuary and shelter for other wild life animals. It has been declared as National Park long ago in 1975…
Name ‘TADOBA’ came after a divine deity “Taru” who was very much appreciated for his being in villages of Chandrapur.. 
From the beginning of 1955 the area of this national park was spread over approximately 117 square kms in dense forest area of Chandrapur district … later in 1986 the area granted was almost five times the earlier area ..!!!!Government gave green signal for 508 square kilometers …. And again in 1995 the area grown to 625 square kilometers..!!!!! 

Such a beautiful area surrounded by everything that is required for a Tiger to grow his family…. This was of great help… now tigers in Tadoba are almost more than 40 in numbers… Same way we do have leopards in increasing numbers in Tadoba..
  Chances are almost 80% of YOU viewing Tiger crossing your road…!!!! of course you are in an open jeep with safe distance under surveillance of trained guards or in a closed vehicle if you are in a big group.
 Apart from wildlife Tadoba is also very much known for its wide range of rare and beautiful striking floral  categories…! It has full of blend of Bibla, dhawda, Haldu, Garaadi, Saag, Ain, bamboo and many more categories..
Tadoba is place for small Birds, insects, reptiles & other such animals who usually rest in dense forest..!  
Tadoba has been studying place for Biologists, botany scientists & ayurvedic doctors since ages..!!
There are many famous lakes in this national park like  Tadoba lake, Jaamni lake, Teliyaa lake, Kosa lake. It has continuous flow of water through river Andhari, natural reservoir like bhanusakhindi, panchdhaara, basant bandhara…
Government has also built few more artificial lake to widen the opportunity for many wild animals being  viewed by public..
In the evening time all these lakes are filled by various types of animals, you will go crazy and surely become very excited to click each and every possible wild animal… 

The experience of being witness these animals at the lake and overall in Tadoba National Park  is really “lifetime must see” event..!

  2. By Train:- Chandrapur railway stations is just 45 kms away from Tadoba. Frequency of trains going via Chandrapur is very high.

Of course, you are in well secure custody in a jeep of closed vehicle... Park authority has taken very good care for viewers security..!!

Sanjay Gandhi National Park has everything that pleases to people from all age group. For kids they have various toys and the great and best attraction is a toy train - VANARAANI.... When you take a ride from this little, fascinating train you will surely go to your childhood days..!!!! 
This train takes to the complete round journey to the national park, You will witness all the wild animals when you take early morning rides, you will enlighten your natural wild life knowledge too..!!!!

La Citadelle
La Citadelle” is a small fort British has built in 1835.. To take entire city view you can easily go on the top in few minutes and gaze the entire Mauritius..
You will be amazed to see ganga mata lake, shiv Shankar, hanuman temples there as Mauritius culture is heavily coincide with Indian culture.. Almost 75% immigrants are from India..
 hence they have strong influence on them..! You will definitely relate Haridwaar temples after watching temples in Mauritius..! 

Another surprising thing is “Chamarel “…  you will say “Aaaah” and “wow” number of times when you see this various colored sand …. It is believed that Chamarel is the only place in the World where we see earth of seven different color sand  at one place. These are brown, violet, green, blue, purple, red and yellow. !!!! “This is very natural process &it is due to decomposed basalt gullies, climate is very humid  that helps in decomposition of besalt into clay….”  Whatever geographical science is behind it we don’t have to worry about it … we wish to run around on the seven colored sand..!

Best Fort - RAIGAD

RAIGAD is the one of the best forts of Maharashtra. It is situated 25kms North from Mahad. Hight from Seashore is 2581 Feet. It has 1487 steps completely carved in stone..!!!
RAIGAD is surrounded by great mountains, and breath taking valleys...
This fort has a great view from all four directions... From south you can view Rajgad, Tornagad, Makarand gad, Pratapgad..
Legendary King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj chose this fort as Capital of his great kingdom just because its complicated and complex structure, You can view and keep watch on almost 100 kms from all sides....

HISTORY OF RAIGAD :-

 
Its earlier name was RAAYARI also named as "Eastern Jibraltor" by Europeans. Prisoners were kept here at the time of Nizaam. On 6th April 1656 Shivaji Maharaj took over this great fort..
Shivaji maharaj got his historical ceremony on Raigad and from 19 may 1674 he was officially chosen as a King of Maharashtra..!!!! This moment was the greatest moment among all of us..!!
Shivaji maharaj ruled till his death - April 1680..
We have his monument on the fort. All people visits in the month of April to offer a tribute to this great king of India.

EASY TO CLIMB NOW:-
As a general trekking spot it is easy to climb as compared to other forts nowadays. it has 1487 steps all carved in stones..! All Maharashtra people are fond of Shivaji and hence keep visiting very often to Raigad.


Government has built a rope way for senior citizens who are unable to climb the steps..!!
It also has become a favorite tourist spots after the ropeway was built. You can reach to the top of the Raigad just in 15 minutes. You can have complete valley view and entire village scape from the lift that carries around 3-4 people in one trip. if you visit in monsoon you will feel like walking in the Heaven's Garden as you will have pleasant scenery all around in 290 Degrees. Multi-color flowers, butterflies and different types of birds chirping gives you awesome experience even though you reach on the top in less than  15 minutes. If you want to enjoy climbing adventure take 1487 steps..!!!! You will reach on the top in 2.5 to 3 hours..!!!
